Wedding Dreams

To see a wedding in your dream, symbolizes a new beginning or transition in your current life. Dreams involving weddings are generally negative and highlight some anxiety or fear. It often refers to feelings of bitterness, sorrow, or death. Alternatively, wedding dreams reflect your issues about commitment and independence.
To dream that you are getting married to your current spouse again, represents your wedded bliss and happiness. It highlights your strong commitment to each other. It may also signify a new phase (such as parenthood) that you are entering in your life.
To dream that you are planning your own wedding to someone you never met, is a metaphor symbolizing the union of your masculine and feminine side. It represents a transitional phase where you are seeking some sort of balance between your aggressive side and emotional side.
Wedding Dress

To see wedding clothes in your dream, signifies new friends and pleasurable undertakings.
To see soiled wedding clothes in your dream, signifies a falling-out with an admirable person
Too often the wedding vows that people dream up are flowery and completely based in romance rather than reality. They may be lovely, but no one knows exactly what you mean "I will offer you fields of flowers every day." Really? How's that happen? And how does it make a good marriage?

Really far better if you were to create a set of wedding vows that are based on your talents in relationship.

How are the two of you in relationship together?

* Do you solve problems in the same way or do you bring complementary skills to the task?
* Do you view issues in a similar fashion or is one of you a big picture person and the other a fill-in-the-fine-details person?
* Are you both very intense, or laid back, or is one one thing and the other the other?
* Does one of you like to plan and the other like to deal with things on the fly?
* Does one of you like to get to the bottom of things and the other never look back?

All of these things are skills that you bring to the marriage. Even the things that we think of as detractors are things that have their basis in talents. We're not obsessive unless we've got an organized mind. That can be used (especially if you're planning a wedding ceremony!).

We need to honor in one another the skills that will make our marriage work. In my case, I need to have a plan to go forward on. Darling Drummer last planned for something in the year dot. For him, it's enough that he fixes an intention and moves forward. When we're really working in tandem, we are a great pair: we picture a goal and then he goes home and leans into the universe and I go home and get busy. (Nope, we never have those conversations at home, it doesn't work for us.) And as much as it pains me to admit this, his leaning on the universe always moves us quickly in that direction.

As long as we stay with our wedding vows, which include respecting one another and living out our passion, we do really well. When one or the other of us gets anxious, we get out of sync and our lives get a bit more bumpy.

1. How long have they been together?
2. Relationship history: What's the story line in their relationship?
3. What goals did they have when they started out? How many of those goals have they reached? How many have they changed? What new ones have become part of their marriage?
4. What do they see as their relationship skills? What about their frailties? How have they gotten around them during their time together?
5. Relationship success: Do they see their marriage as successful? What have been the biggest triumphs during their life together?
6. Relationship obstacles: What have been the most difficult things to negotiate throughout their time together?
7. What was their secret of getting through?
8. What do they wish someone had told them?
9. What advice or blessings do they have to offer the two of you as you embark on your matrimonial journey?

Then sit down and begin to answer some of these questions for yourself and think about what kind of relationship you want to craft. Start building wedding vows that will support that marriage. Then create a wedding service and ask two of the most successful relationships in your eyes to become your marriage's god-parents. They'll be your support for years to come! And that's what you want!

You'll have different talents than we do. And you'll make a different, perfect for you marriage because of those talents. Craft your wedding vows to include what you're good at and you'll have a far easier time reaching your goal of a happy and healthy marriage. Those vows will create a beautiful spot in your wedding ceremony, your friends will be happy to support you and your marriage will thrive, because you'll be doing things you're good at. That's smart!
